Human Furniture (Forniphilia)

Forniphilia or human furniture involves treating a person as an inanimate object, specifically as furniture or a functional object. Common forms include using someone as a footstool, table, chair, or display piece.

The practice embodies objectification taken to a literal extreme. The "furniture" partner is treated as if they are simply an object serving a function, often without acknowledgment of their humanity during the scene.

For submissive partners, the appeal may involve deep submission, being useful, the mental challenge of remaining still, or the psychological space of existing as an object. For dominants, it demonstrates absolute control and ownership.

Physical endurance is a consideration - holding positions can become strenuous. Padded surfaces, position changes, and time limits help manage physical demands.
